Abstract - The Red-breasted Flycatcher Ficedula parva is an autumn regular migrator in Italy but rare in Liguria. The authors describe an observation of that species in the East of that Region.

Abstract - After 140 years a second ligurian specimen of Turdus atrogularis Jarocki, 1819 is reported. It was collected on 05.XI.2008 nearby Genova Pegli (Central Liguria - NW Italy), and it is actually preserved in the Museo Civico di Storia Naturale "G. Doria" of Genoa.

 

 

Palmaria,"L'isola degli uccelli" ligure.  Enrico Borgo

Abstract - Data regarding the ringing campaign, performed on the Ligurian Island of Palmaria (Portovenere - SP - Eastern Liguria) during the period 15 April - 15 May 2008, are reported. This campaign belong to the circummediterranean project named "Progetto Piccole Isole", started in the 1988 to study the spring migration of Passerines. A total of 1759 birds of 59 species were ringed; some interesting observations made from 3 to 10 May are also reported.

Abstract - The first year (2008) results of a survey of migratory waterbirds halting in three spring and two autumn sampling periods at the mouth of some main streams in Liguria are summarized.
